Bottle from bleeng at May Tasting. Pours a very dark brown almost black with a medium frothy light tan head with good sticky lacing. The aroma is coffee and light roast. Thin mouthfeel with oak and light smokey finish. A decent stout from Bluegrass.

Draft @ Capital Ale House, Richmond, VA. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with hints of bourbon barrel. Roasted malty bourbon chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and bourbon barrel finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma has lots of creamy, roasty coffee and cocoa. Flavor is quite roasty, strong coffee, a little vanilla, with some bourbon and oak hints. Definitely a very nice stout.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Pours pretty dark brown/black with a bubbly/foamy tan head. Aromas of oak char, chocolate and bourbon/vanilla. Near med body. The flavor is very oak and smoke - and burnt wood. There’s some vanilla and chocolate. A less than sturdy stout aged in oak. Still pretty good.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours black with a gray brown head that dissipated rapidly to the edges. Aroma strong barrel notes with bourbon and wood coming through with a dark grain backing. Flavor is quite thin with strong bourbon and wood but can’t get over the thinness.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours ruby red chocolate with thin mocha head. The aroma is rich and yummy with toffee, caramel, coconut, chocolate and mildly roasted coffee beans. Very nice. The taste is smooth with roasted malts, some tart malt astingency as well as full firm sweet vanilla, toffee, coconut and smooth bourbon too. Very nice but a bit on the barrel heavy side.

Bouteille partagée avec Jcwattsrugger. Noire et mousse moka claire. Bourbon est la ou il faut, avec des notes de café et chocolat, le bourbon ressort un peu trop en intensité gâchant un peu le côté stout de cette bière. Impression de chocolat au lait, sec au palais avec des notes de chêne et de bourbon.
