Our spring seasonal is a refreshing light to medium bodied golden ale. Brewed with honey, hibiscus, and chamomile, fruity subtleties abound despite the accessible and easy drinking nature of this beer. Honey imparts a subtle floral note as well as a touch of sweetness.

Um. I'm going to go with no. The honey is way too sweet for a beer, and the rest of the flavors, it's no bueno.

12 oz bottle, courtesy of Eugene. Thanks! A unique brownish orange color pour with the thinnest possible active fizz head. Aroma is a mix of sweet berry fruit, and spices. Flavor is very strange. Cinnamon apple sauce like spice, sweet berry, honey. Floral, but doesn’t grab my attention right away. Gotta look for it a little. Sweet and spicy both. I like that. Cool, and decently refreshing. Strange as hell, but I didn’t have any issues with it.

Notched on the side says Jan, 2015.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with no head nor lacing.
The smell had a sweet honey and chamomile up front. A light amount of grassiness comes through (I’m guessing that’s the hibiscus) and slightly floral.
The taste was mainly sweet through the combination of the honey and chamomile. A sweet accompanying relaxing floral aftertaste starts and leads to a wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was barely there but I’m okay with that. An exceptional amount of floral sweetness rolls over my tongue in a super smooth relaxing feel.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good golden ale. I’d have this again.

Not so bad for a summer session ale. Pours blonde with ok head and lacing. The hibiscus comes out with some nice floral aromas rather than the sourness the flowers sometimes make for. Water with fizzy carbonation. Finishes lightly sour with some crispness. Bottle at Velvet Lounge.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden red color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was some notes of honey, floral notes, sweetness in there. Flavor was a bit on the dry side, plenty of honey notes. Flavor also had some floral characters, but not too overpowering.

12oz bottle pours a hazy caramel amber with almost no head. Smells herbal, some citrus, soap. Flavor is very herbal, tannic, sun tea, bouqet garni. Astringent finish.

Deep caramel coloured body with a bit of an apricot glow and a thin, half centimetre tall soapy foamy white head. Aroma of grass, soap, pale malt and a bit of mushroomy funk. Light-bodied; Assertive soapy and cardboardie malt flavours with not much else and nothing pleasant about this. Aftertaste shows a little grass, some light sweetness and nothing else aside from some stale malt/cardboard. Overall, a fairly poor offering and definitely not worth trying. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 07-February-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 17-February-2013.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of honey, grainy notes, nuts and a floral finish. The taste is pale grainy malts, big floral notes, a faint bit of honey, and tart plum and citrus. Medium bodied.
