Draft from R&H. Poured brown. More of a brown ale than a scotch ale to my taste.

My first beer from Greenport Harbor! Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate and hops. Medium-bodied. Caramel and alcohol in the flavor with woody maltyness. Clean showcase of Scotch Ale.

64oz growler pours translucent, cola brown with a ring of white head. Aroma of cola, bread, chocolate, nuts, raisins. Flavor has chocolate, nuts, malts, not as peaty as other scotch ales, raisins, dark fruits. Not overly sweet. Finish is medium bodied.

Growler. Clear chestnut brown, small beige head, medium lacing. Aroma of light cocoa, caramel syrup. Taste is heavy on the butterscotch. Not bad, considering it’s been in the growler for a few weeks.

Tap. Pours a cola brown with a minimal white head. Nose is light, sweet malts with some dark fruits and brown sugar. Molasses, heavy dark cherries in the floavor. Medium in body with slight carbonation. Syrupy finish. Decent.
