Draught courtesy of the nice brew master, at the brewery on January 21, 2011Black color with hints of reddish brown, tan head. Butterscotch and sweet malty scent, some alcohol. Vanilla, sweet, smooth taste, very nice! Vanilla and sweet aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

courtesy of Dave @ TBBC. Same version of the Dig D old ale just with the added goodness of barrel aging. Nice dark fruits, rich matly with enough chocolate, caramel, hints of vanilla, subtle warming abv and the right amount of barrel.

From the cask at TBB. Courtesy of sebletitje, merci, mon ami! Reddish brown, beige head. Bourbon is apparent in the aroma, cocoa as well. Whiskey is more subtle and sweet in the taste, with oak notes, vanilla, prune. Great character, nicely complex. A winner.

Draft @ the brewpub during RBWG weekend. Pours very dark reddish brown color with off white head. Aromas of bourbon and vanilla. Flavos of roasted malts, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation. Their best beer IMO.

on tap pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet spicy malt and brown sugar. Sweet licorice and bready malts lots of yeast character. Nice, but the barrel really isn’t adding anything for me.
