Arguably our most well-balanced beer, Small Craft Warning seems at once hop-forward and malt-forward; our brewers debate over which flavor force prevails in the beer. Small Craft exemplifies a robust pilsner - it's crisp, well-carbonated, and slightly sweet. The beer is characterized by a firm malt backbone and a pronounced hop character. A fine aroma, from an array of hops, completes this quaffable beer.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a deep golden/light amber with small off-white head that dissapates quickly. Aroma is rich malt grain, low carbonation, thick body, and little lacing. Tastes is light caramel, bready, and finishes with bitter hops and a hint of alcohol. The alcohol is warming and this is pretty good beer.

Smells super sweet, almost to the level of a Werther’s. Looks okay, not great, pouring orange with a thin, white head. The taste is truly odd; super-sweet malt-heavy bock buttered caramel up against a Euro-hopped, floral, overly bitter finish. The result is a wickedly schizophrenic beer, sweet for one second, bitter the next, with no reason or structure. Neither personality is worth seconds.

Pours light gold, mild haze. Mild aroma. though fairly pleasant with some grassy hops, doughy malt and lager yeast. There are touches of citrus, floral hops and honey. Taste is a bit on the sweet side for me, but it’s smooth and a mild but definite hop presence makes for easy drinking. Fairly low carbonation, at least relative to my expectations.

This beer pours a clear pale golden color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly. Rings of lacing. Herbal hops and citrus in the nose. Medium, crisp body with flavors of floral hops, herbs and citrus. The finish is hoppy with a zesty citrus aftertaste that has a touch of malt behind it. Decent overall.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan color. Thin, soapy, white head. An odd beer on some levels, but pretty interesting to dissect. Doughy and rich malt tones, with a respectable hop balance. Sweet and rich, full bodied, but quite smooth on the palate. Lacks a certain earthy or robust character found in some of the German greats, but this is still quite a nice beer.

12 oz. bottle at the Nacoochee Pizzaria. Pours a dark amber color with a small tan head. The nose is citrus hops, with some brown sugar and bready malts. The flavor is sweet, with just enough bitterness to balance it out. Medium body with a slight bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours orange gold with a slight foamy white head. Light sweet aroma. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is sweetish, lightly fruity, and definitely nobly hoppy. Finishes with a malt/hop balance. It’s actually quite tasty.
