Arguably our most well-balanced beer, Small Craft Warning seems at once hop-forward and malt-forward; our brewers debate over which flavor force prevails in the beer. Small Craft exemplifies a robust pilsner - it's crisp, well-carbonated, and slightly sweet. The beer is characterized by a firm malt backbone and a pronounced hop character. A fine aroma, from an array of hops, completes this quaffable beer.

12oz bottle pours a totally transparent, orangish gold with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is very malty, almost sugary, with a little bit of grass, a little spicy. Flavor is sweet and malty, a little candy, some light hay and grass. Finish is full bodied.

Clear golden yellow with a creamy white head and slight lacing. Aroma of light malts and white pepper. Very full body, but an otherwise boring pils.

Bottle. Dark golden color, leaning just a bit towards amber. Just a bit cloudy. Very fine head, though not a huge one. Not fading at all. Strong malt aroma, sweet with some caramel and honey. Strong malt flavor, slightly oily and buttery, sweet, with a bit of fresh fruit, pears? Also a bit tart, with honey and strong alcohol. Very close to an Austrian or Bavarian helles bock. Good hopping, better than your average German or Austrian bock, but not as outstanding as they are claiming. Finish of some hops, alcohol, and sweet malt. A well-hopped hellbock. Good.

Bottle. Pours an orangish gold with a pretty small head and aromas of pears, honey and booze. Flavor is a fairly heavy fruit and honey/biscuit maltiness with an astringent and unashamed alcohol presence. This just doesn’t blend together very well.

Overall Impression: I remember this one being a decent lager, maybe worth a re-rate, but I'm just going by few year old notes...

Rich golden colour with a thin head. Herbal hop nose with pear-like notes. Fairly rich hop with some cloying sweet malts. Finishes sweeter than I’d prefer and seems to really lack polish.

Bottle: Pours a soft orange copper color with a large, creamy sandy head. Thick clumpy lacing. Smells of citrus and florals, a bit sweet and malty too. Tastes of a medley of citrus and florals. Nice malty balance. Some wetness in the hops and a bit of tropical fruit. Really quite enjoyable. Thanks to nimbleprop for this!

Tap @ OTH. Pours blonde with white head. Aroma, very sweet and hoppy. Taste sweet, fruity (vanilla, pineapple) and malty with some floral hops. Great beer, refreshing, need more lagers like this one.
