Brewed without compromise, taste our heritage in this crisp golden ale with distinct drinkability. Subtle spice and herb notes from the hops and yeast come together over a light cereal grain foundation to provide a fresh easy drinking ale. The original Nova Scotia Ale and the oldest continuously brewed beer in North America: “Those who like it…”

Sampled on draft this beer poured a bright yellow-gold color with a medium sized soapy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter with vague fruity hops and a bit of sugar. The flavor was tart, bitter and thin with some lemon and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle at my parent’s house. A very lager like clear gold. Sugary sweet light malts with some fruity notes as well. Medium bodied and pretty smooth. The taste is an inoffensive sugary sweetness with light malt notes it is ok but are you sure it isn’t a lager? Not at all what a modern IPA is more the lobotomies version that existed in the 1980s.

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with little head. Not much on the nose - perhaps grain and grass. Flavors of grain/corn, rice, and light malts. Watery and Industrial.

Interesting, called an IPA by the company but labeled as a golden/blonde ale on here. Here’s my take:
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a golden amber color with a less than a film of a white head. Lacing, what lacing, ha, nowhere in sight.
The smell had some weird cooked corn, uh...where’s the hop bitterness?
The taste was a weird funky sour sweet corn.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Sessionable, uh...well I guess it was though I found it hard to put down.
Overall, uh...well, there’s nothing remotely close for this to being an IPA. Is it a blonde ale as this site suggests? Well if it is, still this beer isn’t exactly one to be desired again.

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus with faint hops. Sweet flavour of malt, corn and light hops. Light body with watery texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle from the Beer store. Pours a clear yellow with pure white head that quickly dissipates. Grain and alcohol aroma, little indication of the hops for an IPA and this goes for the taste as well. Only slightly bitter. Mostly sweet. Totally inoffensive but not a real IPA.

Bottle in hotel at Waterloo Canada, this beer is poor beyond belief, and should be pulled up by trade description, presenting itself as an IPA on the label, this is a fizzy tasteless lager style beer, go hops, no bitterness and no flavour
