Back in Zambia after 27 years - had many of these in 500ml bottles. Â Old rating from 1996 - one of several bottles enjoyed in a hotel on the Zambian side of the falls on a hot afternoon, pours golden with a tiny head. Aromas & tastes of grain, corn, herbs & malt. Slight bitter finish.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear pale yellow colour, white foamy head and aroma of malt, grain, fruity. Taste is sweetish, malt, corn grain, with hay, straw and grassy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, light carbonation, light bitter finish. OK, standard lager.

16/8/2023. Bottle courtesy of Gus, cheers! Pours clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruits. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, average to soft carbonation. Nice to have and it wasn’t bad.

Quite aged sample Transparant bubbles over absolutely still beer, clear gold. Madeira, portwine, sweet grains, oxydation. Old wine, completely diluted; not much oxydation but a slightly fruity hint, even almost sourish. Empty MF, still. Strangely the aging has not really harmed the beer - which can't have been much to begin with, I fear - just made it completely still. Thanks to Stef!
