It pours a cloudy, yet dark brown, and gives a more reddish body. Some light carbonation is seen rising. No lacing is left. The smell has some malts up front with no hops whatsoever. The taste is more combined between the malts and the hops. The palate is light to medium with that same crispness that’s always been there over the years I’ve had this. Overall, this is a decent Vienna Lager that I’m unsure if I would have again, probably depend on what else was served.

12 oz bottle. Amber color with real thin white head. No retention. Very straight forward nose and taste. Grain, light malt and a light generic hop crispness. Better then Bud, Miller or Coors but nothing to seek out.

Bottle. This was my "gateway" beer, that pulled me out of the mass produced crap. I remember it fondly, unfortunately my recent tasting doesn’t back up that memory. Pours deep amber-red with a medium fine head. Malty aroma and flavor, nothing special about it at all. Mildly unpleasant aftertaste.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark amber with about 2 fingers of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grains and fruitcake. Taste is light bitter. Caramel, fruit and a little citrus hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Much better than I was expecting for Leinie.
