Backlog - from notes. On tap @ Meibokfestival 2011. Hazy orange color. No head. Aroma’s: sweet malts, caramel, alcohol, some fruits (raisin). Flavor is moderate sweet, caramel. Strong alcohol feel. Medium to full bodied. OK

(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2010) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of peaches, apricots, treacle, caramel and gooseberries. Malty fruity taste with caramel, orange, gooseberries, treacle and cidery hints of apples. Full body, sweet with alcohol shining through in a rather spicy finish. Slightly unrefined and fairly brutal but still in some way quite charming. Very nice in moderate amounts.

On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Thank God this was offered in 12cl measures as well! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of rotten cabbage, acetone, alcohol, light sweet fruity notes, not very inviting. Flavour is sweet and fruity at first, then the rotten cabbage and bad alcohols kick in, very hot in the throat, finish is one of the foulest I ever encountered. They should sell this for 40c in 50cl cans in supermarkets instead of for €5 for a 25cl glass. Utter crap, couldn’t finish 12cl.
