Tap at Edobori Beer Belly. Dark brown colour with white head of small bubbles. Aroma is lightly hoppy, and quite malty. Taste is malty with chocolate elements and a bit of wheat. Bitter finish. Nice. Update: 19/5/13 more caramel aroma, Vienna like. Much darker colour though. Taste is sweet malty. Nice. Think I was a bit harsh last time.

On tap @ The Hangover, Nakano, Tokyo. Clear dark brown color. Beige head. Aroma’s: not much actually, a bit roast, a little chocolate, hints of red fruit. Rather neutral flavor, a slight fruity acidity. Light bodied, actually too thin. Finish is rather dry, roasted (a bit of ash even) which is the best part of this beer, for the rest it’s too boring.

On tap at Beer Belly Temma, I was told it is about 6%... A very dark brown pour with red accents & a light beige head. A decent dark lager, some chocolatey malt notes, easy drinking but not so flavorful with a possible slight hint of grain. Ok.

Bottled. Clear dark brown, brief head. Nicely roasty with light-medium body. firm, yet crisp. Tobacco and salt dominate a mild finish.

On tap at Beer Belly Edobori. They have stepped it up a notch lately. Beautiful glistening black color with a full head. Thick and rich dark malt, with chocolate, caramel, and a touch of coffee. Fresh, tasty, but not cloying. Very well balanced dark beer.
