A banging Imperial Stout brewed with prunes, vanilla, and habanero chillies.

Taste: Dark chocolate and dried prunes come out first, followed by a strong Turkish coffee and stewed blackcurrant jam. Vanilla supports, followed by a long, lingering — BÄNG — from the chilli. Just enough to shock your tastebuds and leave you wanting more.

Bottle, 330 ml at Cajt. Black with short lasting tan head. Chocolate, some fruity notes, sweet, some chili in after. Sweet with bitterish finish. Not very complex and bit thin in finish. Bit of a letdown.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour revealed a jet black body under a bubbly, tan head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Rich aromas of roasted chocolate malts. Solid, well rounded taste profile of prunes, chocolate, liquorice, and biscuit. Long-lived chocolate malty ending with warmth for the alcohol and, not overdone, chili spices. Thick mouthfeel. Perfect slow sipper, relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. (Tromsø 16.01.2022).

Bottle shared at BBT 1/2022. Actually feels thin, medium carbonation. Loads of paprika both in aroma and flavour. There is moderate chocolatey roasted maltiness, but it is topped by paprika. Medium warmth, feels smooth in this respect. Chilli heat is rather light, could actually be more intense. Overall it is good, but lacks complexity and nuance.
