Can from Harvest in Toledo. Pours a deep brown to black with a full two fingers of brown head. Vanilla and coconut aromas on the nose with roasted coffee and cacao nib as it warms. More of the same on the palate with more vanilla and coconut sweetness with roasted coffee bitterness to balance it out. Warming alcohol on the finish. Good viscosity throughout. Really nice.

(Bottle) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, vanilla, sweet black coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, cacao, black coffee, vanilla, coconut, caramel, toffee and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Really rich, tasty and well balanced. Great beer!

Draft at the source. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, coconut, vanilla. Finish is a bit sweet.

Bottle, 75cl, at Håndverksølfestivalen. It pours an almost black body, topped by a finger-thick light tan head. Some curtains left. The aroma is quite roasted, and very pleasant, with coffee, dark chocolate, hints of alcohol, vanilla and coconut, and a good dash of caramel. It's full-bodied and very smooth on the palate, some alcohol warmth is present too, with a good dash of sweetness. Not really cloying though. The flavor has roasted malts, coffee, alcohol, dark chocolate, caramel notes, some coconut and caramel, and a tad more focus on the vanilla than in the aroma. Lasting finish. A delicious one indeed, and the coffee used sure don't ruin anything at all. 190608

Black with lasting head. Aroma is intense with deep dark rich coffee. Almost savoury. Flavour is roasted and nutty. Almost creamy in the finish. Lingering roasted coffee.
