Rhythm & Blues is based on a English style barley wine. Giving it a strong maltsweet character with lots ripe yellow fruits and vanilla from barrel aging. Flavour indication: ripe yellow fruit, malts.

Thanks to bierkoning for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep golden, almost copper coloured, nice head. Alcoholic aroma. Starts very strong, spicy, quite alcoholic. Finish metallically, unbalanced, warming. Had better De Molen beers.

Hazy orangy brown with tiny bubbly head. Yoghurt, rhubarb, sourdough dough and some spices and wood. Medium sour at first, and then some sweetness comes in. Medium bodied with slightly fizzy carbonation. Interesting, but a bit too much dairy for me.

Bottle shared at Tadg’s, a reddish amber with an off-white head pour which from start to finish gives off it’s barrel-aged character. A whiskey barrel nose with a whiskey taste that has a lot of boozy burn, not my cup of tea but well executed for all that.

clear golden, smooth offwhite head. Nutty, malty aroma, faint syrupy sourish note, perhaps something from the wood?. flavor is woody, flowery, nutty, boozy bourbon notes, and some citric notes, a BW with a good bite in it for sure. palate a little thin. Not bad, but not the best either.

Bottle - Medicinal, orange and apple juice. Clear copper with a thin white head. Tons of oak, bourbon nicely fitting in and finishes with a bit of alcohol heat. There is a bit of sourness and bitterness in the middle but fades pretty quickly and stings a bit against the lips. Although very different, I love the oaky taste that has some nice balance and heat.

Very hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and a little soft and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Sweetish dried fruits, cherry noticeable. Mild creamy malt. Slightly dry mellow bourbon and vanilla oak. Finishes dry. The bourbon barrelling is a little light but it balances nicely with the dried fruits.

hazy golden colour, minimal white head; aroma of yeast and oak wine barrels (perfect illusion of a wine cellar) with some fruitness; taste of yeast, dry white wine, and grass, alcoholic warmth and spicyness in the aftertaste; strongly recommended barley wine
