Bottle. Very dark brown/black with a massive beige/white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Taste of malts, caramel, brown sugar and some herbs. Sweet. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Call me a brute but
for someone with my upbringing this is really just an alcoholic Malzbier.

Bottle from random supermarket, Netherlands. Clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. 070525

On tap at Vogelstruys Maastricht. Dark brown cola colour beer lasting beige head. Sweet brown beer. Gosh very sweet like sugar. Too sweet for me. Bit of fun but not much of a beer. Too sweet by half.

donkerbruim bier met matig schuim. Weinig aroma, iets moutig. De smaak is zoet met een klein beetje cholcolade smaak. Nasmaak is alleen zoet.

Bottle from local AH XL supermarket. It's a long time ago that I've had my last bottle of this typical Dutch style Oud Bruin. Nice to taste one of these again, because they are less common than 30 years ago. Although I never really liked the taste of it... Color: Very dark ruby, beige head. Aroma: Some hop, dark malt, caramel. Taste: Sweet, malty, malt-sirup, a lot of caramel, bit sugary. Medium sweet, light hopbitterness in the background. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Low alcohol, high energy beer with mediocre taste.

Roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is zoet met iets van karamel wat zoet fruit en kandij. Is wel een van de betere moet ik zeggen.
