A thirst quenching session beer, Sour Suzy mimics a classic German brewing technique (sour mashing) to impart a light, refreshing tartness. No hop bitterness and very low hop profile, Sour Suzy is not your typical session beer - rather it delivers something a bit more obscure and intriguing. It drinks as refreshingly as a glass of lemonade. The grain bill includes a healthy portion of wheat, while citrusy hops lend bright notes to the aroma, which is accentuated by the addition of Makrut lime leaves.

0.33l bottle thanks to Lore. Slightly murky yellow body with practically no head. Aroma of white wine and lemon juice with cellar notes and some yeast. Taste of grains, white wine, lemon juice and some green apples. Quite straightforward, but refreshing beer.

opalescent, very pale yellow colour, minimal white head, which disappears promptly; aroma of acidic white wine, wine cellary-basement-like yeasty-earthy notes, lemon juice, hint of acetone and some grains; taste is dominated by citric sourness with some sour green apple and acidic white wine notes, as well as some bread; refreshing one

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - pale golden with steady bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. Nose - light cardboard, yeast and some citrus. Taste - lemon and dry tangy yeast. Palate - light bodied, long lean and tangy. Overall - the taste was a big improvement on the nose.

Decent, but hardly exciting.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy yellow pour, one finger soapy off-white head. Short lasting, low retention. No lacing. Not so fresh on the nose, grains, wet stale grass, notes of lime. Thin body, medium carbonation. Texture is ok with some thickness to it, pleasant mouthfeel actually. Fruity sour tart taste and aroma. Lemon tart, lime, wheat, grains, wet hay. Not bad, but has this all-around bland emptiness. Finish is practically nonexistent, lingering radler-like sugary sweetness is all that remains. Overall, quite mediocre. Drinkable, yes, but not something I'd go back to.

Pours a bit hazy yellow colour, topped with small and immediately disappearing white head. Gentle nose, a bit of citric acid, some chalk and a hint of grass. Gentle soury start, slight herbal feeling later on. Light body. Medium fresh. Not the best one but still drinkable.

330ml can into glass. At Indo, Whitechapel. Pours light yellow with a small frothy head. The odd bubble ascends. The nose is a little sour, a little hoppy. Some patchy lacing. Very refreshing with a lingering acid/lemon drop finish. Super easy-drinking, nice one.
