The full, rich character of this stout comes from the roasted malt and fresh roasted coffee beans. It is a lightly sweet and creamy beer with an elegant finish.

Een smaakvolle stout met hints van chocolade, waar het geroosterde mout en vers gebrande koffiebonen de intense smaak bepalen.

Bottle. Black with minimal head. Coffee, licorice, soy sauce, roasted nuts and grains with a bit of ash. Light hint of fruits in the background. Taste is mostly dry and bitter with just a touch of sweetness. Medium bodied. Decent enough stout.

Black. Foamy beige head and good lacing. Aroma of cigar box, dry cedar wood and juniper. Refreshing taste of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Dry and a bit waterish mouthfeel. Perhaps slightly too carbonated Medium long aftertaste. Complex, while still balanced. Good drinkability.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Black with a beige head. The aroma reminds me of a tobacco store, with also some coffee. Mouthfeel is round with gentle carbonation. A not too spectacular stout but still a more than decent beer.

(Bottle, De Spuyt, Amsterdam, 1 March 2014) Black colour with rocky, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, mocha, a touch of cinnamon and cocoa. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark bread and a fairly dry finish with a generous coffee bitterness. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced stout. Nice one.

Tiefschwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Kaffee, Schokolade. Geschmack röstmalzig trocken nach Kaffee, leicht würzig und herb.

Opaque deep brown colour, average frothy tan head, disappears quickly, creamy rim remains, good lacing. Aroma roasted malts, liquorice/drop, dark chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, earthy notes. Taste medium sweet and medium bitter, roasted. Full body, creamy to oily texture, lingering dry bittersweet finish, bit woody impression.

Tap @ Wormer, small sample. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of chocolate, quite fruity of blackcurrant, slight spicy and earthy as well, hint of roast. Creamy texture. Slight sweet, slight bitter, bit dry. Very well balanced and a good try on an English stout. Good stuff.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with a big frothy creamy tan head. The aroma is of roasted malt and liqourice. The flavour is strong bitter with a liqource, malt, coffee, chocolate and red-berry fruit palate. I kinda liked this. I’m surprised the ratings are not higher.

Bit better than the other beers from 7 Deugden. Decent stout with the usual notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Has a more rich taste than the other beers from this brewery.

2/VII/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VI/13, bottled: VI/12 (2013-603) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy irregular beige head, bit adhesive, pretty stable. Aroma: fruity, lots of forest fruits, jam, sourish, coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sour forest fruits, mocha, some caramel, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: little bitter, mocha and coffee, forest fruit jam, dark chocolate. And ow yeah, thanks. Another brewery that is gonna start using two words with an "and" in between. As if I didn't have enough trouble remembering all the De Molen names... Jack *ss*s! :p
