Almost black with quick fading head. Aroma of vodka, whisky, apple pips. Thick and quite oily texture. Flavour has a touch of whisky but it’s more about the alcohol than the complexity of the Bunnahabhain. Maybe it needed more time in the barrel.

33cl Bottle from Vonk Zaandam. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of lots of whisky, vanilla, wood, fruity, dark fruits, raisins, some green apples. Flavour is sweet, malty, whisky, fruity, dark fruits, a bit of green apples, wood, light roast, bittersweet finish with booze. Full bodied. Not too complex or overly sweet. Nice.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color with a red glow coming through, full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, liquor, whiskey, wood, lightly alcohol, sweetish, caramel lightly and lightly raisins with a touch of dark grapes and a slight touch of bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. I like it!

Tap @ Uiltje bar, Lammetjesdag 2015. Dark brown coloured with a tan head. Nose is boozy, followed by caramel malts, candied sugar, vanilla. Flavour is caramel malts, candied sugar, fairly sweet, bit of fruitiness.

@BFGM15, Qaud, donker bruin/rood met minimale kraag. Aroma van graan, caramel, toffee, vanille, zoet, Whisky , werkelijk een super aroma 10 van de 5 punten. smaken zijn granig, vanille, Whisky , weeïg, vanille, hout/tannine. redelijke body...... of het komt doordat ik wat aan het eind van het festival wat zwaardere bieren zit, maar deze bevalt mij erg goed...

Tap @ Uiltje bar, small sample. Almost clear dark copper color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma of hoppy barley wine, grapefruit, lots of toffee and caramel, hint of raisin, slight chocolat, slight vanilla and oak wood, not much peat. Quite bitter in taste, soft sweet as well. Base beer felt like a pumped up hoppy american strong ale and the bunnahabhain didnt have the most peated notes, but more rhum or vanilla.

Draft at Uiltje. Pours dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of whisky, wood, caramel, very boozy, fresh alcohol, toffee, malt. Flavor is light heavy sweet. Medium to light full bodied with soft carbonation. Pretty decent but maybe a little fresh with the alcohol.
