Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body. Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness. When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Tap at Hollander. I've had this before in bottles for sure. Tastes different than I remember. Old keg? Pear, honey, white grape. Champagne undertones. Bold, rich, strong, lots of yeast depth.

Golden or slightly darker coloured, perhaps an amber hint. Medium sized, relatively frothy white head, good enough retention and lacing. Quite good intensity in the aroma, with the lightest shortcrust pastry hint followed by fruity notes (peach, fresher citric notes though i can't pick something specific), a pretty vivid per style herbal/grassy note, a touch of spiciness (yeah, it's not spiced, but the spicy yeast character still seems to be involved). Taste notes follow the aroma (spiciness comes out as coriander to me): it's a semi-classic belgian golden strong ale, with a quite typical taste profile for the style, but also a "greener" and fresher herbal hoppy dose. Relatively high sweetness, more or less average bitterness, with a slight sweet edge in the mouth (but still fresh quite fresh) and a balanced, well attenuated finish. Slightest bit of warmth, but the alcohol is very well hidden for the abv. Dense bodied (maybe slightly little less than you'd expect for the abv), quite high carbonation; a very lively, quite full mouthfeel, but still a decent drinker. Very good one the overall.

Pale colour, hazy, large rocky head that disappears quickly. Aroma is white bread, a bit of herbal hops, coriander. Light bitterness. Lively carbonation, light body. Good.

Best before 07/23, buying this bottle at Amstein, St-Légier. Opening it yesterday at home, relax, enjoying it a lot, as usual. Classical and rich Belgian ale, high fermentation, boozy, malty, smooth and sweet, sugar, touch of champagne, dry bitterness. 11.07.2024, at Epalinges, on the balcony, good food and good beer.

Bottle at home. Pours deep, semi clear golden with thick, quickly disappearing white head. Nose is sweez booze, sugar, honey. Taste is sweet upfront, booze, sugar, fruity esters, but all this with a touch of bitterness to it, rounding it nicely. Long lasting sweet and warming finish, light body, lively carbonation.

Slightly hazy golden pour, huge frothy white head. Sharp grassy hops, cereal malts, and light tropical fruit. Good mouth feel, crazy carb. Low bitterness, crisp green grassy hops. Really nice stuff.
