Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body. Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness. When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Bottle at A l'Imaige Nostre-Dame. It pours clear bright blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is straw, grassy, floral, wet hay, doughy, white bread and spice. The taste is firmly dry, good deal of bitterness, grassy, pithy citrus, piney, straw, spice, pear, melon and honey blossom with a spicy finish. Medium body and moderate -, high, foamy carbonation. Good judged level of bitterness to it. Crisp and quaffable.

Bottle found in central Paris, 750ml. Very large foam with huge carbonation on this one with yellowy liquid. Smells of heavy yeast, barnyard funk, and hay. Flavour is big messy grains, animal fur, more hay, more yeast. Medium finish. Not bad for something akin to a farmouse ale.

330 ml bottle best before 15/01/2018. Pours unclear dark golden orange with big creamy head. Nose is Belgian yeast and vanilla. Aroma is vanilla, coriander, banana, clove, metal, pear, liquors and funky notes, slightly tart. Very sweet with a metallic bitterness. Creamy texture, full bodied, quite alcoholic finish, lively carbonated. A bit too alcoholic, metallic and sweet. Aroma is quite nice though.
