Backbone Splitter Kazbek Special ].Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, toffee, hops bitter, frutiy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160318]

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized off-white head which leaves some lace. Aroma is grass, some spruce, tropical fruits and mild floral and bready notes. Flavour is quite crisp malts along with rather strong floral and grassy bitterness as well as some pine and spruce to it. Long dryish grassy and mildly floral aftertaste.

0.33 l bottle from ’Dilo Getränkemarkt’, best before October 2016. Clear, golden amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white to tan head. Sweetish-fruity, slightly resiny aroma of orange, mango, tangerine, some honey and a bit of pine. Sweetish-fruity, slightly resiny and quite juicy taste of honeyish caramel, orange jam, mango, some tangerine and pine, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, resiny finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral and grassy hoppy aroma, notes of fresh hay, resinous background. Taste is initially bitter hoppy, grassy, floral, slightly citrusy, spicy notes of fresh hay, caramel malty background with subtle sweetness, transforms to fruity, delivering notes of peach and apricot. Superbly balanced, fresh and hop-spicy.

Bottle at home, 15th April 16. Pours clear and amber, nice lacing. Aroma is bitter fruit, citrus and pine. Taste is bitter sweet fruit salad, pine, pretty bitter with a really grainy malt backbone. Lovely
