Inspired by Latvian folk songs on juniper beer, this one will resemble a refreshing walk in our corniferous seaside forests. Brewed with juniper berries and a variety of hops derived from regional wild hops - Kazbek. Fruity and resinous, with a lightly kilned malt backbone and a blasphemously inviting finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small, off-white head. Interesting, pleasant slightly sweet aroma - I can't really tell if it's the juniper. Medium body, fruit and caramel - very well integrated. Overwhelmingly dry, yet with a slight berry sweetness. A very well balanced and pleasant Fruit Amber. 080917

Very good, dense light yellow-cream head over hazy orange-amber beer. Spices, spruce & hops, especially whilst pouring, as the dense head hardly allows any aroma to get out. Resin and coloured malts, bit of caramel, dry cake or dry brown bread, leafy; after some time a tad metallic. Medium to well-bodied impression; slick; highly carbonated as most Labietis products seem to be. Nice.

On tap at Labietis. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, light resin, earth. Flavour is likewise, some juniper, herbal, light resin, light earthy, bitter finish. Light bodied.

Draft at Spunka. Clear amber color white head. Aroma of burnt caramel with light spruce. Taste is earthy pine and caramel. Tasty.

Tap at Kaapse festival. Clear darker golden with small white head. Light flowers, caramel, dry malts, light grassy. I don’t get much juniper though it’s quite herbal and spicy. Under medium sweet and bitter. Just medium bodied.

ON TAP at brewpub. Fresh juicy and pithy grapefruit, abrasive hoppy mouth feel and juniper spice. A nice Nordic twist for a hoppy beer. Excellent.
