Limenka iz Lidla, klasično oktoberfest pivo, osjeti se okus ječma, pjena brzo nestaje...dobro ga ohladiti i uživajte, za te novce sasvim solidno pivo!!!

Finally! A completely surprise encounter at the Lidl in Gospić after I’d managed to miss it every single time in Zagreb and Split. Lovely clear dark amber body, but the white head was gone in an instant. Sweetish malty aroma, light rosehip, a touch of bread, quite subdued. Taste... mild bready malty taste, watery, light herbal touch, almost no bitterness, a touch of astringency, dry finish. Well, technically flawless, apart from a vague note of alcohol that pops up here & there, some nice flavors hit the tongue here & there, but quite lifeless. Beers like these are what people think of when they say "lagers are boring", though it’s not the worst offender around.

0.5 l can from Lidl, bought by Buksi. Clear amber, small off white head. Malty aroma, some vegetable, cereals, faint hops. Light bitter with some boring sweetness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet finish. At least it tastes like a beer! Good for the price (0.7?)

Can from Lidl, Mirhouse. Copper-brown with a very thin head and a small carbonation. Has light sweet malts with grains and yeasts providing the flavour. Not a bad autumn seasonal.

Can from Lidl, Carrick-on-Shannon [171015]
Dark amber, clear, big frothy white head
Aroma of slight fruit, light sweet malt, some grain, dab of cooked veg
Taste of light caramel, bit fruity, soft grainy, dab of wet cardboard, very slight hop, simple
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, light sweet. Finish is slightly dry, sweet malt.
Overall - Bit rough but it’s OK

Glass from a Lidl keg. Clear amber. Not much aroma. Taste is bang average European beer, touch metallic, drinkable though.

0.5l can. Clear light-amber body, practically no head. Aroma of toast, caramel and some floral hops. Taste of toast, caramel, a tiny amount of peach and some floral hops. Watery and flat, but I think it’s an OK beer.

Canned, 500 ml from Lidl, Zagreb. Pours dark golden with white head. Caramel malty, sweetish, bit grassy. Actually not that bad for supermarket beer.
