For Batch 27, the crew crafted an elegant base using California Syrah grapes and Arizona wildflower honey. Then they let it age in a variety of American oak barrels, giving it time to luxuriate in all that rich woodspice nuance.

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. Clear purple liquid with minimal pink head. Aroma of honey, licorice, black currant, black currant leaves and grapes. Taste is high sweet with notes of honey, light licorice and black currant. Full bodied with low carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Great stuff.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a clear ruby purple with a few bubbles but not much of a head. Aroma has lots of dry red wine note with a slight sweetness underlying. Flavor has much more sweet honey with dry red wine and a bit of tartness.

Draught@CBC2015. Deep red colour with no head. aroma is fruity, some honey, floral notes as well as some mild spicy/herbal notes to it. Flavour is very similar, with quite a strong white wine like touch to it.

Draught @ CBC 2015. My notes say "Cabenet/Syrah" but as everyone else is entering CBC rates here, here goes: Pours red, no head. Aroma of honey, wine grapes, light tartness, little fruit. Flavor is sweet, honey, grapes, wine, wood, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, sweet finish with warning alcohol. 020515

Draught @ CBC 2015 [ Green Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark [ As Superstition Aphrodisia Pyment ].Clear medium to dark red color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate honey, cherry - red grapes, wineous. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, tart fruit - berry - grapes, honey.
