Trocken malziger, leicht herber Beginn. Anfängliche Säure, die starke Trockenheit stört. Wenig aromatisch, röstige Nuancen, kurzer bitterer Abgang. Nicht unbedingt der Knaller. 9/6/6/6/8/6

Bottle. Hazy amber, big golden head, somewhat fizzy. Orange cake aroma, juicy, a hint cheesecake frosting. Medium light body, chalky, minerally dry, orangepeel, hay, some allspice. Foamy mouthfeel, grainy finish, light orange retronsasal.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sonnenschein', best before July 2019. A little hazy, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little grassy aroma of caramel, grains, some honey and a touch of straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently malty and a little grassy taste of caramel, grains, honey and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy, grainy finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Lager, quite pleasant, somewhat bland though but that's just due to the style, I guess.

33cl bottle courtesy of Erzengel, thanks! A clear deep golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sourish malt, straw and grains. Taste of grainy malt, straw, moderate bitterness.

Flasche: Deep golden, hazy, medium-sized and slowly collapsing white head, moderate bitter-sweet grainy nose with distinctive traces of brown bread and piney hops; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, lingering hoppy and (brown-) bready finish. Chapeau! A very tasty version of this all in all boring style, a bit similar to a good Düsseldorf Altbier...

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, spicy. Shy fruity notes of apricot. Well balanced finish, mild sweetness. Not bad.

Bottle from Sonnenschein. Smooth mild beginning. Soft caramel, moderate sweetish with a nice fruity bitterness in the end. Long mild fruity aftertaste with floral fresh parts, grainy bitterness in the end with caramelly grainy sweetness. Nice.
