We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a tart Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us. Unfiltered and naturally wild, we package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

Can shared at BPBW'19 encore day. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam, during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Aroma is lavender with notes of myrtle, floral and herbal, yeast, sage I guess, peppery notes. Flavour is mild sourish. Very herbal, not really my thing, but not bad.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma is vinous, musty, and funky with sage note. Pours cloudy golden color with thin soapy white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing citrusy, grainy and vinous, following is funky and herbal, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Wild and luxurious…

Pale blond colour with fluffy head. Aroma has sage but the lemongrass makes a bit like bathroom cleaner. Flavour is slightly better balanced. Quite floral. Could do with some and sharpness.

A light yellow, hazy beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness, apple, light bretta, lemongrass. Taste has fruitness of lemon, light tartness and bretta, quite dry, hint of herbal notes. Medium bodied. Pretty nice, the bretta could be stronger.

I heard this is good, but I hate sour beers... I will give it a try. Smell- weak, herbal, some citrus. Foam-weak citrus, faint sourness, faint bitter notes. Head is small, white color. Appearance-brewer bottle cap, apart from that simple label, I do like that cap, but not enough to give appearance bonus, will give to overall if it comes to a split score. Bit dirty, orange color. From- snifter Taste - weak, herbal, some citrus, some bitterness, very faint sourness. Sourness is very faint, and generally seems quite herbal, don't hate this, but, would love something more also. not great, not terrible.
