We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a tart Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us. Unfiltered and naturally wild, we package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

355ml can. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is herbal, sage, floral soap. Taste is herbal throughout. Light Brett on the finish. Slightly soapy aftertaste. Could do with a bit more funk.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Dark, straw gold. Thin and sticky, white head. Nose has pithy citrus brett. Lemon. Soft herb. Pepper. Some tropical fruit. Taste has a little fruity sweetness, with some peppery and herbal character. Medium body. Slick texture. Low carbonation. Fruity, and a little dry on the finish. Not sure when this was packaged, but maybe the brett needs to do its thing a little longer. Needs a tad more punch.

Can. There's good and bad. The bad is the phenols are a little more than I want, definite clove and banana elements. I really like what the sage does here. The brett is very understated, just a vague funkiness, doughy, but it complements the sage, which is earthy and slightly floral.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light sage, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light sage, coriander, light perfumy notes, nice and smooth. Bottle at Mondial 2018.
