Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat', 2012 vintage. Clear, amber with a few white bubbles on top. Slightly sweetish, a bit sourish and a little funky aroma of ripe apples, some oak and a touch of vanilla. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, fairly woody-dry taste of ripe apples, lots of wood and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately tart, rather dry, woody and slightly funky finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. This is lovely, quite complex and dry, almost like sparkling wine (just better).
