NUDGE Products (Friedensreiter) Dunkel

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Fine malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, light roasty touch. Finish milder, almost a bit washy. Okay.

Bottle from Bielefeld. Grainy dry beginning. Moderate bitter, very neutral with a grainy finish. Sessionable without too much depth and lots of grain.

0.33 l bottle from 'Getränkefeinkost' (Münster), best before September 2018. Clear, dark copper with a thin, foamy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and minimally roasty aroma of caramel, raisins, toasted nuts and traces of honey. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity and a bit roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, some raisins and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and a little roasty finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very decent Dunkel from Westphalia!

Draft @ Bielefelder Bierfest. Light brown with a quickly fading head. Mild aroma of caramell and malts. Taste is malts, grains, a hint of caramell and nuts. Rather weak, watery and thin. Medium carbonation. Not the best Dunkel I ever had.
