330ml bottle from somewhere in the Netherlands. Poured a murky medium brown colour with a mostly lasting bubbly off-white head. The aroma is earthy, light toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, toffee, herbal, earthy, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Remains enjoyable, but 10 years of aging in a climate controlled environment have not improved it.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, toffee, caramel, sweet dried fruits, candy sugar, booze, hint of hops. Flavour is sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Not as impressive as most of the other White Label beers, but a decent Barley Wine regardless.

Damn old bottle @ home. Amber color, off white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, brown malts, toffee, sweetish hints but in the end quite bitter and heavy alcohol very much present. Nice good barley wine but boy are they heavy.

Tasty, dry, some wood. Herbal. A solid barleywine, but kinda expected more from a white label. Still delicious, though.

Bottle shared. Near clear amber brown with a small off white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, overripe dark fruit, butterscotch, booze and spicy notes. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium to light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Clear deep amber with a fat cap of cream head. Gunge easily left in bottle. Full toasty aroma with vanilla, butterscotch, figs. No obvious booze. Luscious body, low carbonation. Really a bit heavier than I’d like. Very sweet with bitterness that’s twangy and cuts through abruptly. Rich and dripping with dried fruit and butterscotch, but the cut-through whilst crude provides necessary relief. BB 2019 and well worth a look then.

(Bottle) Hazy amber, thin tan head. Pleasant aroma - raisins, alcohol, some toffee. Lovely palate - full bodied, slightly sticky with gentle bright carbonation. Main tastes are toffee and alcohol, there’s a hint of dried fruit. Not a lot of complexity, but as a straightforward barley wine it’s great.
