Wist je dat bierbrouwen en zuivel verwerken erg veel gemeen hebben? Niet voor niets brouwen wij in oude melktanks, door onszelf omgebouwd tot brouwinstallatie. En ook niet geheel toevallig zijn wij gevestigd in het voormalig kaaspakhuis van Limmen. Vandaar dat wij als eerste brouwerij in Nederland weibier brouwen. Wei, een bijproduct bij het maken van kaas met veel vitamines, maakt van Merakels een bijzondere tripel met een fruitige smaak en een haast romige structuur.

Aroma of malt, fruits, yeast, spicy notes. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitter finish. A bit on the sweet side, but it seems to work for this brew.

Tap at 6th Noord-Holland Bierfestival, Alkmaar: Hazy golden brew with an slightly sour taste and kind of grassy. They also used whey to gives this beer an milky and cheesy appearance, the finsh is kind of slightly tangy bitternesh.

Bottle at home, orange beer, small head. Aroma is malt, spices, yeast, sweet. Taste is the same, sweet, yeast, caramel, malt, fruit, light lactose-ish hint of creamyness. Not bad.

Uit een flesje in de Cultuurkoepel Heiloo. Donker gouden kleur. Aroma wat vlak, ook smaak niet heel uitgesproken. Geen fantastische tripel.

75cl Fles. Roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is verrassend fruitig en zoet met iets van aardbei en wat honing.
