Pours clear, caramelly brown. Medium to medium small, nearly white head. Scent is weak, traces of sweetened chocolate, mild earthyness as well. Taste is full, very sweet. Honey comes trough quite a lot. The beer is having somewhat a metallic idea, or at least so it seems by the combo? Honey tastes natural, but simple. Beer does more for the body (and carbonation) than the actual taste, as honey takes a surprisingly big part of that ( yet only 20 % was added ). I suppose the basebeer must be really bland. Still, easy drinker, simple straight up, and probably cheap drink.

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy. dark copper-ish, brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity and floral, honey aroma with a touch of orange, marmalade, petals, caramel malty background. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty and floral, fruity, notes of honey, a touch of orange and mandarine, cautious hop bitterness. Nice composition, one of the better honey beers known to me.

NRW-Buddel: Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, small but lacy loose off-white head, mild sweet malty nose with some bitter spots, the announced honey is quite hard to detect; mild to moderate sweet flavour, astonishingly quite light bodied; mildly lingering sweet malty finish with a well hidden bitterness in the aftertaste. Monotonous...

0.5 l bottle, best before November 2017. Clear, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Faint, sweetish, slightly malty aroma of caramel, honey and hints of raisins. Quite sweet, malty and slightly roasty taste of caramel, dark honey, some raisins and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally herbal finish. Over medium-bodied, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Better than expected! Looks beautiful, mouthfeel is quite satisfying, taste is very well-balanced and not too sweet.

Insgesamt nett. 8/8/9/8/7/8
