Der Name Porter, übersetzt „Lastenträger“, stammt aus Zeiten der englischen Industrialisierung. Bei Arbeitern und in den britischen Kolonien sehr beliebt, entwickelte sich das dunkle Porter bald zu einem der erfolgreichsten Biere der Welt. Unser Porter Westfalica erhält durch den Einsatz fünf verschiedener Spezialmalze eine feine Röstnote, die von einer angenehmen Süße umspielt wird. Der exklusive Hopfen Hersbrucker Pure entwickelt ein an Vanille erinnerndes Aroma, herb abgerundet durch die klassische Hopfensorte Hallertauer Perle. 750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, brown-ish ruby colou rwith average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, slightly chocolately, dark malty and rather ephemeral, fruity hoppy aroma with notes of red berries; with some time more roasty malty with a touch of coffee . Taste is sweet, minimalyl roasty, dark malty, notes of caramel, a touch of chocolate, some vanilla, fruity hoppy notes of red berries; creamy texture, smooth and soft palate.

0,75 l bottle. Clear dark copper in the glass with an huge foamy beige head. Fruity malty on the nose. Taste starts sweet, malty, some apple und cherry in the background. Present hop in the second row. Black tea. Increasing fruity sweetness to the end. Okay.

75cl bottle. Klare orange braune Farbe,mittelgroße weiße schaumkrone. Geruch süß kräftig malzig, Karamell, leicht schokoladig. Geschmack trocken röstmalzig, schokoladig, rotes malz, naja.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle. Clear, dark brownish amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, chocolate and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, brown sugar, nuts and hints of honey, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally roasty finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

Malty dry caramelly beginning. Very smooth and round. Hints of burned sugar, round and intense, Fresh with a moderate bitterness, round and fruity with hints of red fruit. Nice malty refreshing and not too intense sweetness. Great fresh, nice malt character, a bit grainy, round and refreshing good!
