0.33 l bottle from ’Slijterij VOS’, best before January 2018. Slightly hazy, dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Sweetish, malty and slightly sourish aroma of caramel, coffee and nuts. Sweetish-malty, slightly sourish taste of caramel, coffee, licorice and hazelnut, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little sourish finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent, average carbonation. Not good.

33cl bottle. Trübes orange braunes Bier, kein Schaum. Geruch nach dunklen Früchten Karamell, Gewürze. Geschmack nach dunklen leicht säuerlichen Früchten, Karamell, Gewürze, naja!

Bottle at home, very dark brown almost black beer, small head. Aroma is malts, caramel and hints of hops and yeast. Taste is caramel, dark fruit, raisins, sweet, bitter, somewhat fizzy at first. nice one, an improvement.
