Bottle (vintage 2018) from the nearby liquor store in Patras, drunk in the hotel after some amazing sushi at a random all Asian varieties place across town. Super dark gold with a moderate but pretty head. Nose is herbal, honey, cinnamon, yeast esters going wild. The flavor has a very tingly carbonation like a Belgian high carb beer, and a rounded caramel backbone (very Tripel-like). Nice acidity & wine-reminiscent notes that probably helped preserve it as this beer is likely 3.5y old, but in fine shape. It might have lost some of the fine aromatics in aging, but the herbals are so well blended I can't pick out individual ones. Great complex Belgian-Abbey-taste with Greek flair!

Bottle courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery, cheers my friend. Had this at home Wednesday 6th January 2021 listening to Billy Nomates - No and cooking homemade Fish Pie, technically seafood as there are more prawns, mussels and squid than fish. The aroma is a little bit herbal as expected but with some stone fruits. A little peachy and apricot in the flavour department and some floral touches. A touch heavy on the herbal front, however it’s nice, refreshing and easy drinking considering the abv.

From bottle. Clear dark golden color with nice white head. Malty and yeasty aroma, quite herbal spicy, mint, coriander, light grainy, light fruity. Sweet and light to moderate bitter taste like aroma with some caramel notes. Medium oily body with soft carbonation
