A recipe based on the famous 1890 Export Stout recipe, having huge amounts of roasted malts and European hops. Pours almost black with dark amber hues, small light brown head. Aroma is roasted barley with notes of bitter chocolate. Taste is dark malts with intense herbal hoppiness from European hops. Aftertaste follows the taste, medium to long lasting, with light dark malt astrigency. Soft carbonation, medium body. This beer will develop with age! Never serve it cold!

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours hazy brown with a frothy, tan cap. Oddly bitter, with notes of chocolate, earthy hops. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Aggressively bitter finish, some roast, more cocoa. Not the best.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin. Slightly cloudy brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Dry and bitterish dark chocolate. Weird tangy nuttyness. Tangy bitter coffee. Pretty hard to drink. Yeeuch.
