Tap. Pours lightly hazy yellow, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is cloves, lemon, wheat. Flavor is light sweet, very light bitter. Light body.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange gold with medium white head. The aroma is clove and citrus. Light body, banana, clove, wheat, light dry finish, very good.

Can. Hazy gold, white head. Banana, yeast, coriander, clove, wheat. Not bad, but i prefer their hoppier stuff.

From tap at the brewery. Hazy golden orange color with white to off white head. Malty and yeasty aroma, fruity, banana, spicy, cloves, citrus, bread. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale gold, hazy, lot head. Lemon and orange, banana, clove. Body is a bit light and thin. Light for the abv. Decent.

Hazy golden and light peach coloured body with a single centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, bubble gum, earth, coriander seed, tons of wheat, even more yeast and a nice spiciness. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty flavour at first that shows more pale malt than wheat, but some coriander seed freshness, a dose of alcohol, some curacao and cloves and a touch of bitterness from the yeast or malt. Aftertaste shows very easy-to-drink flavours with the wheat, coriander seed and yeast the most potent, but also some grassiness, a touch of clove spices and a hint of dryness from hay. Overall, a fairly good german hef, but not among the best nor most refreshing - leave that to Franziskaner or some other American offerings, but this was nice to try, although not in that same echelon. Not worth going out of your way for, but worth trying if it’s easy to find, as it was for me, not knowing this was a ’highly rated beer’. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint sized can, purchased from Carmine Street Beers in New York (Greenwich Village), New York on 22-January-2017 for US$4,00 sampled at home in Washington on 26-June-2017.

Can from Colonial Spirits. Hazy light golden color with a huge bubbly white head that persists. Light banana big clove and spice on the nose with a solid sweet bready maltiness. Flavor follows the aroma. Somewhat dry lightly carbonic finish. Pretty nice Hefe.

[2/1/17] Draught at Night Shift Brewing in Everett. Cloudy golden. Yeast, fruity esters, some clove, slightly sweetish, slightly tart, slightly spicy. Decent.

Can at home. Pours fine cloudy dirty gold large fluffy head. Nose is cereal, grain and light banana and spice. Tastes grains, cereals, cloves, banana, some hay and pepper. Dry finish amd not overly fruity or sweet like some hefe. Easy drinking.
