440ml can. Quasi black colour with small to average, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Smoky, woody and roasty, dark malty, minimally caramel malty aroma, notes of smoked wood, barbecue sauce, dark chocolate, some oak, a touch of wood ashes, caramel, also a touch of leather, pumpernickel, whiffs of peat. Taste is smoky, slightly peaty, roasty, dark malty, minimally caramel malty with subtle residual sweetness, hints of smoked wood, barbecue sauce, a touch of leather, pumpernickel. Oily-watery texture, smooth and minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rich and intense, balanced and harmonious - good.

bottiglia 44 cl, bel cappello di schiuma cappuccino fine persistente, colore marrone intenso nero, al naso subito l’affumicato poi caffè malto tostato cacao una punta di liquirizia, in bocca ancora subito affumicato e tabacco poi caffè cioccolato fondente speck frutti rossi, corpo rotondo, leggero acidula, carbonazione leggera, amaro moderato. Buona ma secondo me poco equilibrata con l’affumicato. c. Cantina della birra 24.08.24

The smoke is very mild. It’s a classic stout, leaning on the side of porter. clean and dry, very drinkable and well made. Het lagerhuys ams

Bottle, 330 ml at Bottega de Lortica, Bologna. Dark brown with nice tan head. Malty, smoked, chocolate. Maybe even some fruity notes. Sweetish with roasty bitter finish. Smooth. Medium bodied.

Tap at Beer Stars 2/2020. Fully malty. Full body, rather sweet, though not cloyingly so. Low carbonation. Lots of chocolate, toffee, overal soft roast and caramel. Quite soft touch of smoke, barely noticeable.
