Deviating from our trademark 'soft bitterness' Misfit Stream packs a clean yet assertive bitterness that cuts through a big tropical hop profile. This 7% IPA is just saturated with hop character starting off with hefty pineapple notes, some fresh guava, and then transitions into soft orange and grapefruit notes. Dry, big, and crushable, Misfit Stream is easy on malt character, just providing enough malty notes to give subtle malt flavors that support all that fruity hop character while remaining in the background.

On tap at Fieldwork, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, green leafy hops, some pine and biscuity malt. Flavour is dry, with lots of green leafy hops, light pine and bone dry biscuity malt. Low astringency, but very fresh and flavourful. Very good.

Poured up on tap at the Sac brewpub where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up tangelo, tangerine, a sliver of spicy garlic, orange peel and a bit of pith. The taste delivers rich balanced hoppy bitterness and juiciness with tangelo and tangerine and then modest grapefruit hop bitterness. Dang. This is delicious with terrific balance and depth.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma of lightly acidic fruit - perhaps citrus. Perhaps not. Med body. Flavor is earthy/mixed fruit. It approaches dank. Lots of hop;quite dry; bitter not over the top. Starting to get citrus and thinking tropical may have been somewhere. It is really nice and flavorful.

The beer is bright gold in color. Quite clear. Medium white head. Lots of lacing. The aroma is kiwi, melon, tangerine, mango and grapefruit. Light sweet malt with a touch of caramel. Taste is fairly dry. Moderate bitterness. Taste is a bit washed out compared to the aroma. Not quite as juicy as expected. Refreshing. Easy to drink. Light body. Good stuff.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in San Jose. Pours slightly hazy and orange with a full white head. Tropical fruit dominates this beer with an aroma that leaps out of the glass. Flavor is also overt orange, tropical and citrus, but has a biscuity maltiness lending nice support. Finishes semi-dry and moderate to moderate high bitterness.
