Our flagship amber ale is brewed with English malt, hops and yeast. The extra malt lends a lightly toasted, chocolate flavor, a tawny color, and a smooth, rich character; it's perfect for sipping one or enjoying many. The keg version is a revised recipe of our old bottled classic. We've made subtle changes to the malt bill, and are now using an English Ale yeast to ferment. Expect flavors of toffee, caramel, and nutty undertones. A gentle sweetness from the yeast rounds out the experience.

Bottled (5.9%) (thanks Stoutlover72). Hazy reddish brown colour with mediumsized creamy, thick, beige head. Aroma is malty as very as very sweet fruity. Flavour is surprisingy dry malty and toasted, also the fruity hops comes along making this a wellbalanced beer. Strong lemony notes in the aftertaste along with slight roast.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of aspidites. Clear, orangey brown with a tall, dense and handsome off-white head leaving laces. Fruity, berry-like nose. Rather light in body with fresh and fruity accents, some dry caramel and an odd, ashy edge. Not much bitterness. Not your typical American amber, and not really that hot. 310507

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and a light touch of dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and lighter notes of hops and alcohol - a bit like caramel ice cream topping.

Thanks to awaisanen for this! Drake’s pours into the glass with a beautiful creamy off-white head over a reddish amber body. Caramel malt in the aroma is joined by some light hops. Well balanced and clean. Perhaps an unexciting style, but this brew is solidly done just the same.

Reddish amber ale with a light moka head. Nice caramel malt aroma with discreet hops and cinnamon notes. Crisp nutty malt in mouth with lactic notes. Lighter bodied. Overall, a bit plain. Russian River Beer Revival & Barbecue Cook-Off, August 20, 2005.
