Big roasted coffee presence, some cocoa and singed brown sugar, full bodied, vanilla sweetness into the roasted coffee laden malty close. Nice one.

Bottle as "Dojo Deluxe" [BA RIS vanilla & coffee] shared by Johnny. Opaque jet black color, small brown head. Aroma is malts, coffee. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, coffee, earthy, charcoal hints, roasty bitters with chocolate and dark chocolate bitter. Delightful. Solid body. Solid beer.

[1/27/17] Bottle/Can/Crowler/Growler at a bottle share at Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa. Black. Coffee, roast, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon. Bittersweet. Full-bodied.

From bottle. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium to full silky oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, vanilla bean, chocolate, bourbon, wood. Thick body, chewy, roasted malt, vanilla wood, boozy, very nice.

On tap at Real, Wild & Woody Beer Festival, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of the mesquite barrels, specifically with the smokiness, followed by light roast and coffee. Flavour is quite sweet, with smoky notes, whiskey barrels, and light cocoa. Complex and wonderfully integrated. Excellent.
