Ci siamo fatti prendere la mano. Ci serviva l’idea giusta per una grande birra, abbiamo pensato ad una Grand Cru, poi ad una regionale, ma alla fine, ci siamo lasciati ispirare dal maestro italiano del luppolo, il vero Angelo custode di questo ingrediente tanto blasonato, così abbiamo deciso di fare una birra con 48 luppoli.
Una birra provocatoria per creare la giusta “confusione” attorno alle cosiddette birre “crafty” o “pseudo-artigianali” che si sono dotate di pratiche commerciali quantomeno discutibili.
Crediamo che nulla debba essere lasciato intentato per evitare che i sacrifici di tutti siano vanificati da queste “pseudo-birre”.

Cask @So Good (Rome). Giallo paglierino, appena torbida, schiuma virtualmente assente. Al naso sentori di sedano, agrumi, pino, tanto erbaceo. In bocca è caotica e sgraziata, una infusione di luppoli senza capo né coda. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Birra senza senso.

Bottle at Pop’s Place in Ljubljana. Pours a slightly hazy golden color, topped with a medium sized white head, nicely lasting. Nice fruity nose, lots of citruses. Lovely. Starts mildly spicy, a bit peppery actually. Mild bitterness, very light with very gentle citrusy presence. Herbal bitterness in the finish. Nothing special, actually a bit too empty.

330ml bottle courtesy of Costantin. Unclear yellow golden color with small off white head. Nice hoppy aroma, grassy, weedy, citrusy fruity, light floral, strong pine. Sweet and bitter taste, very light comparing to the aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Tap@ black door. Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma is herbal, perfumy, citrusy, floral. Quite complex. Flavor has pineapples, mango, perfumy notes. Hoppy, fruity and the taste kinds changes with every sip. Really fruity and smooth though. I like it.

Pours yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy fruits, grass, hay, citrus, pine, grapefruit and resin. Taste is earthy, stuffy and hoppy with some grass, hay, pine, citrus and resin. Finish is mild, dry and fruity with pine and grass. A bit messy.
