Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is roasted malt with dark fruits, plum, chocolate, some cofee, caramel, liquorice, touch of ash, chocolate syrup covered dark fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with some tartness from the dark fruits and a mild roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Not the fullest Imperial Stout, but I dig the combination of tartish dark fruits and roasted chocolate malt.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Black colour. Profile based on cardboard, bread, roasted malts; it's rather thin among Imperial Stouts, with light sourness; but it's well coordinated.
Quite good.

Bottle - Molasses and dark chocolate with tons of roast cocoa. Jet black with a small light brown head. Molasses and dark chocolate with a long sweetness.

500ml bottle at Farees'. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is inky roasted malt with fruity notes. Similar taste with lots of roasted malt and smokiness. Quite good.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark black, nice brownish head. Starts intense malty, stouty, earthy. Fine notes of coffee, some liquorice, dry-roasty background. Finish with bitter-malty notes. Goes down warming. Nice!

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. Cheers Mat (and Erzengel) for this 50cl offering: BBD 24th Mar 2018, so just out of date. Dark, almost black body, wispy tanned head. Ash tray aroma and taste, not what I was expecting, or wanting. Malty, but the fag ash like feel would not go away.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie March 18, thanks to Erzengel. Pours hazy dark, tan head, berry nose. Surprisingly light body, perhaps coming across more like a schwarzbier in a blind tasting. Some ashy woody almost whisky-like elements, not getting much raisins or plums. Overall quite light and lacking a defined depth of flavours.

Bottle from Rudat. Fresh deep intense nose of caramel and thick rich malts. The beer starts sourish deep, lots of thick and rich sourish malts, creamy, roasted burned. Deep and round, fantastic balanced with a great dry roasted bitter-sweet ending. Very deep and full in body, round stout-sourness, fantastic deep and still sessionable. Great brew.

0,5l bottle shared by Powy, big thanks. BB 24.03.2018. black color, small coffee colored head. smells musty, coffee, earthy, some chocolate. full body, no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, licorice, earthy, leathery, musty, bit pukeish. finishes dry and bitter with notes of leather, puke and peaty notes. Okish, but not a good balance. haven't overall.
