CAN 50CL.

Head: beige/coffee, medium, frothy, below avg. retention. Colour: almost black with red highlights, clear.

Aroma: low intensity, toasty, roasted, a bit salty even.

Taste: mostly dry, roasted barley and a it of hop bitterness too, some coffee.

An average schwarzbeer.

33cl bottle. Dark red beer almost black, clear. Small beige to offwhite head. Aroma of burnt bread, toasted malts, a note of licorice. Sweetish with a light bitterness in the finish, dry, simple.

Medium brown. No head. Pruney and slightly molassesy aroma. Sweetish, brown sugar character. Sub-par.

50 cL can. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Sweet roasted malty and slight breadish. Ends dry roasted malty.

Can 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a pretty, dark brown with a warm orange hue and a creamy beige head. Some sweet roast in the nose. Medium body, sweet roast, a little vanilla and coal with a dryish finish. Decent alright. 050411

shared by ungstrup clear amber, smooth yellow head. malty and caramelly aroma. flavor is very caramelly, dark caramel, chocolate, malts, bitter candy like note

Can. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and metal. The flavor is sweet with caramel, malt, and metal, leading to a bitter finish.

Canned in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Very dark brown, small head. Intrensely roasty nose. Coffee transits to chocolate. Light boded with rather clean mouthfeel. The chocolate flavour is really nice, but there is no real substance. Slight cocoa bitterness. Perhaps no more than an average schwarzbier, but in Guangzhou you can’t be too picky when it comes to beer.

pours dark brown, tan head. nice caramel malts; lots of roast and light bitter coffee. Really enjoyable malt profile that despite the weak abv retains a nice roasted palate.

Can from a cheap Parisian shop. Pours very dark brown with a decent tan head. Aromas of darkish caramel and, it seems, coffee. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation that smooths a little. Coffee? More like grounds. Caramel? Yes, but the dark roast is rather dilute. Heading towards dry. It’s ok, but I prefer Köstritzer.
