A naturally cloudy ‘session style’ Apricot wheat beer to celebrate longer days and the return of the sun. Golden Promise, wheat and acidulated malt were used in the mash along with Citra T90 hops in whirlpool to create a smoothly fruity base. Fermented with a classic German Hefeweizen yeast (WLP300) along with 1000Kg of fresh Apricot to deliver flavours of banana and clove with a nectarous, tart finish.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours hazy pale yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of apricot and struck match. Lot of sulphur on the nose. Taste is sharp, not sour but edging there. Thin finish. Not a fan.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - cloudy golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - big banana and bubble gum thing. Apricot or orange of you look for it. Taste - yeah more of the same really. Banana with nutmeg creeping in. Some apricot of you send out the reconnaissance party. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - nice beer, the apricot seems to have been swallowed up by the hefe yeast.
