04/08 On tap at the brewpub. A bit more hazy than the other two, red colored with smaller head. Aroma of some grainy and caramel notes, like their dark, only with a hint of hops which are more pronounced in its flavor, making in more similar to pale one on palate. Medium bodied with moderate, slightly herbal hop finish. This is something very close to mix of their pale and dark lagers and it happened just as these usually show - they have flaws of the both, but merits of none. Might just be the batch but it was definitely the most uninteresting one on the place.

Draught at the brewpub. This is the one, I guess. Didn’t understand the waiter’s pronounciation of the english name... he wrote down "vörös ászok" and "szüretten" so this is it I guess. Lovely colour, red, slightly murky. Thick, persistent small white head. The nose didn’t exactly woo me. Caramel and some yeastiness. The taste is dominated by hops, which are a bit metallic in dull in my opinion. A touch watery overall, but with a lovely, if weak nice fruity malty presence. Yeah, red berries I guess. Elegant. Quite nice and drinkable, especially when compared to what lurks in the stores, but I hoped for more... seemed to me that it wasn’t in peak condition though. I’ll try it agian when I’m in Budapest.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber, rich head. Caramelly nose. Medium sweet, medium bodied and softly malty with notes of red berries and grassy hops. Very drinkable and well balanced with great malt character. One of the very best beers in Hungary.
