plastic bottle 1000ml. -from some small shop in Budapest. Slight pale golden coloured, minimal white head, odd sugary nose. Notes of honey, rubber and vegetables. Dry bitterish finish. This one is quite different than other Hungarian beers, but also is quite bad.

0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado who shared it with me (thanks!) Guess this is not the same as Szögedi Sör as they seem to be available at the same time and why on Earth would they label the same beer differently. It’s certainly at least as bad. Hazy dark yellow body, sweet sweaty sugary ugly nose. Sweet taste of beets and sweat, slightly dry. Definitely odd and hardly pleasing. Dunno, maybe we’re going too easy on these Szögedi beers. Sure, it’s probably a micro and it has taste unlike most if not all Hungarian micros and they are original but when you look at it as objectively as possible, they pretty much all suck.
