Aroma has lots of mocha, some licorice and hints of vegetables. Flavour has mocha, truffles, some semi‐dark chocolate, hints of vegetables and distant herbal notes. Plevna house flavour is also present. Feels a bit thin, around 7‐8% this could be a hit.

Draught @ Plevna, Tampere. Originally rated on 20.3.2010. Okay porter with notes of coffee and roasted malts. A bit unbalanced.

Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki. Poured a dark red body, almost black, with a light tan head. Sweet nose, malty, with distinct notes of mocha, all in all, very nice. The taste is sweet and balanced with mocha mingling with some light fruitiness that might be from some hop. The aftertaste is bitter, maybe roasty. It´s soft overall and quite drinkable. I like this!

Draught@Plevna, Tampere. Deep amber colour, mediumsized pale brown head. Leaves nice lace. Aroma is ashes, some burnt and roasted malts along with some caramelly notes. Flavour is coffee, roasted malts, some slight caramel as well as some slight burnt sugary notes. A bit too burnt and ashy to be balanced.

Pitch black-brown color, small brownish head, some lace. Chocolaty, sweet cocoa-coffee nose, yeasty. Flavor is coffeish with sweet cocoa notes, roasted and slightly hoppy finish. Soft palate, decent body.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-09-29) Black. Small tan coloured head. Coffee and roastedness in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Roastedness, bitterness, coffee, malts, sweetenss and lightly creaminess in taste. Coffee and bitterness in aftertaste. Very easily drinkable and tasty.
