A session IPA collaboration with our friends from CR/AK brewery in Italy. Claudio and Marco joined us a few weeks back to discuss our love of hops and our shared belief in drinkability. With this is mind we brewed a ‘baby’ IPA with a healthy proportion of oats for a baby smooth body and a small quantity of Cascade in bittering. The beer was then hopped in the whirpool and dry hop with Amarillo, Mosaic & Citra Cryo Hops™ Lupulin Powder for mouthfuls of juicy flavour. We then fermented the beer with London Ale III, for a complimentary fruity aroma and moreish finish.

Refrescante.

Can from Beer Gonzo consumed at Camping Dolmen, Carnac, Brittany, France, Tuesday 13th June 2017 Pours warm orange gold with a sticky white head. The oats give the mouthfeel that real softness is that appears to be all the rage these days. Fruity with a lovely juiciness, burpy hops aplenty, a dry finish, it’s a great session beer. Can shared at Leightons place 08/06/2017. Picked up from Caps and taps. A translucent golden coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is powdery citrus, petrol, lemon rind. Flavour is composed of light Base grains, lemon rind, pollen, petrol, mellow tropical fruits. Palate is semi sweet, semi crisp, highish carbonation, uber dry finish. Not bad session.

On tap at Patrick’s. A foggy orange colored beer with a dense finger thick off-white head leaving some curtains. It’s fruity on the nose, citrus zest mostly, orange, with some pine cones and some pale malts. It’s medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. A bit dull flavor, but flawless and far from bad. Orange, orange zest, pine cones and a pleasant bitterness. Pale malts in the back. Sure a decent one, but it lacks some punch I think. 170611

Can at home ... tall boy ... 11/06/17. Lightly hazed orange with a well appointed off white head. Nose is pine on, sweet tropical flesh, mango, papaya, light spice, apricot jam. Taste provokes a light danko hop dance, solid pine edge, Um Bongo, tangerine, grpaefruit, soft breads, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close showered in sticky hop jizz. Solid session gear ... loads of hop and pine cum for the ABV.
