(Draught at Olympen, Oslo, 6 Nov 2009) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with citrus, peaches and fresh, grassy hops. Malty nose with notes of grass, citrus and a generous, dry bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, mainly dry. Nice, tasty and very refreshing

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Comes as "Nøgne Ø Kos på Groos". Pours a cloudy opaque golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Slightly astringent yeasty aroma - is there some Brett in here?? Medium body, sweet malty and fruity again with yeast and a light Bretty astringency. Finishes rather dry. Usually a Belgian Blond is pretty much one of the most boring styles of this world, but this is certainly an exception. Very refreshing. 201009

From Akevitt. Batch 361. A hazy, yellow color. Tall but thin head. Light hops. Some yeast, clearly Belgian. Like a fusion of a cream ale, with the hops of a light flavored pale ale, and an ordinary Belgian ale.

Bottle at Craig’s house, Edinburgh. Thanks for sharing this with me Craig 20-03-09 Pours a hazy lemon like colour with a white frothy head. Aroma is yeasty and there is some fresh fruit. This is initially a little sweet in the mouth and do I get the coriander?, mmhhh.. not sure that I can say that I detect it, but I suppose there is a herbalness about this. Another quality beer from Nogne. A6 A3 F7 P3 OV14 3.3

Big offwhite shiny lasting head. Hazy almost opaque yellow body. Soft harmonic fruity coriander aroma with herbal yeasty notes. Dry, almost bitter, harmonic fruity citric grassy coriander taste with herbal notes. Full body. Heavier and fuller-bodied than a typical summer wit. Chalky mouthfeel. Lightly bitter herbal grassy peppery hoppy aftertaste with orange peel notes. Harmonic with lots of flavour. The sharpish faintly astringent edge kind of defines the beer. Very nice. More true to type than their regular wit. (0.5l bottle, thanks to yngwie.)
